BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS HOUSING AUTHORITY
CITY OF DEQUINCY,
AUGUST 30, 2022

The Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of DeQuincy, La. met in regular session on August 30, 2022 for the following purpose:
Chairman Jerry McCaig called the meeting to order and upon roll call, those present and absent were as follows:
Present: Jerry McCaig, Lynne Treme, Darlene Hooker, Tracey Brown, Carmen Iley, Shirley Bagwell, Brenda Vige
Absent: None
A quorum present, the following business was transacted. The minutes from July 19, 2022 were reviewed. Darlene Hooker made a motion to approve the minutes and Tracey Brown seconded. Motion carried.
The financial reports for June and July 2022 were presented and discussed. The year-to-date actuals were compared to the year-to-date budget. Lynne Treme made a motion to approve the financial reports as presented and Carmen Iley seconded the motion. Motion carried.
The estimated expense for the door project as submitted by the architect, Justin Gautreaux, was presented and discussed. The members all agreed to postpone the project for now due to the amount exceeding the budgeted allowance.
An advertisement for RFQR for Project Management and Disaster Recovery/Grants was published in the paper. Six firms requested the document package. Only one proposal was received from Rostan Solutions, LLC. After much discussion everyone agreed that we needed to seek further information. Shirley will contact a consultant with Rostan to meet with the Board members to answer some questions we have.
The vacancy report was presented by Brenda Vige.
There being no further business to come before the board, the Chairman thereupon declared meeting adjourned.
