The DeQuincy Tigers closed out the season at home hosting the Grand Lake Hornets.
Grand Lake scored 2 touchdowns to go up 14-0. DeQuincy then got in on the scoring action as quarterback Reese Ashworth took it in on a 1yard run. The PAT was no good bringing the score to 14-6.
Grand Lake added one more score before the half to take the 21-6 half time lead.
Grand Lake scored again to start the 3rd quarter to go up 28-6.
DeQuincy’s Eathan Guidry then broke off a 65 yard run to cut the lead in half 28-14. But Grand Lake would not be denied as they added another touchdown in the 4th quarter.
DeQuincy closed out the scoring with a 18 yard touchdown pass. Final score 34-22.
Reese Ashworth had 69 yards passing with 1 rushing and 1 passing touchdown.
Eathan Guidry led the Tigers in rushing with 112 yards rushing on 10 carries. He also had 1 touchdown.
Koby Poole had 53 yards receiving.
Defensively the Tigers were led by Sammy Maddox with 9 tackles.
M.J. Clark and Kheidren LeDay each had 6 solo tackles. DaCorius Griffin had 5 solo tackles on the night.
Reese Ashworth, Eathan Guidry and Jace Puryear each had 3 tackles. Koby Poole had 2 tackles. Hunter Cox and D’Anate Thomas each had 1 tackle.
