By Mike Suchanek

Perennial power Notre Dame, a private school out of Crowley came into Tiger stadium with a mission to accomplish and when they left that mission had been accomplished. They left with a 49-0 victory and a perfect 3-0 district record.

Notre Dame dominated right from the start with the first of 4 fumble recoveries on just the Tigers second play. The Pioneers quickly turned that turnover into 7 points. The Pioneers went on to score four touchdowns in the first half to go with 3 touchdowns in the second half.

DeQuincy was led by Wyatt LaVergne with 45 yards rushing.

Koby Poole was the leading receiver with 9 yards.

Quarterback Carson Rainwater had 25 yards passing.

Defensively Jase Puryear led the way with 4 tackles, while Eathan Guidry and Kheidren LeDay each had 3 tackles. Wyatt LaVergne and Koby Poole each had 2. Those with 1 tackle for the Tigers were Cobe Sigler, DaCorius Griffin, Mikah Kerlegan, D’Anate Thomas, Lindsey Joyce and Caden Keel.

Next up for the Tigers is the Tigers out of Lake Arthur. It will be the Tigers final road game of the year. The Tigers can bring home the Victory to DeQuincy. So if you’re looking for something to do Friday night travel down to Lake Arthur and take in some Friday night lights.
