Loreauville downs Tigers

DeQuincy had a tough first road trip as they took the game on the road to Loreauville. The Tigers only managed 135 yards total offense, all rushing yards, while Loreauville gained 255 yards total, 128 through the air and 127 rushing.

The final score was 39-2. DeQuincy’s lone score came on a safety in the second quarter.

Leading the Tigers on the rushing attack was Shiloh Cotlong who picked up 56 yards. Wyatt LaVergne picked up 40 yards rushing. Nigile Ceasar had 15, while Mikah Kerlegan had 12 and Eathan Guidry had 11 yards rushing for the Tigers.

No passing yards for the Tigers.

Defensively the Tigers were led by DaCorius Griffin who had 4 solo and 2 assisted tackles with 2 tackles being for a loss. M. J. Clark had 3 solo and 2 assisted tackles. DaQwon Roy had 3 solo tackles 1 sack and a tackle for a loss. Wyatt LaVergne had 2 tackles. Hayz Hext had 3 assisted tackles along with one solo tackle.

DeQuincy would like to get in the win column this Friday night with a home game against arguably the Tigers’ biggest rivalry the South Beauregard Golden Knights.

No matter the records these two teams normally compete hard against each other. So come out Friday night to Tiger Stadium to cheer on the Tigers to victory.
