Beauregard Council on Aging has announced that they are partnering with Entergy Louisiana to provide Entergy utility bill assistance to qualifying low income older adults in Beauregard Parish.
If you are an older adult (60 years or older) whose income is less than 150 percent of the Federal Poverty Level you may be eligible for up to $1,000 in assistance through The Power to Care. The Power to Care is funded through the generosity of Entergy employees, customers and shareholders who have contributed $1.4 million to provide emergency bill payment assistance for Entergy customers in Louisiana this year. In addition to $1.4 million, Entergy shareholders have made a supplemental donation of $427,000 to provide additional assistance for Entergy customers in need this summer.
Seniors who live in Beauregard Parish can apply for Entergy assistance by calling 337-463-6578 or 337-463-9694 to schedule an appointment. You will need to have the following information to apply: Entergy Account Number; Proof of Income; Photo ID ; Social Security Number; Date of Birth
