David Glenn Barbery, 75, of DeQuincy died on Monday, Aug. 22, 2022. He was born in DeQuincy.
He was a member of the Tunica-Biloxi Tribe and was very proud of his Native American heritage. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy and fought in Vietnam.
He is survived by his son, Steven Barbery; three daughters, Kendra Burrows and husband Bill, Kimberly Barbery, and Kristi Ponthieux and husband Wilbert; two brothers; Sammy Barbery, and Henry Barbery; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gurvis and Frankie Foster Barbery; and sister. Amanda Runions.
Funeral services were held Monday, Aug. 29, at Hixson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff. Interment along with Naval military honors followed at Old Ritchie Cemetery in Moss Bluff.
