John H. Britt, 70, was born Nov. 19, 1951, and passed away Thursday, Aug. 18, 2022.
John was best known for always having a hard work ethic. He opened his own welding and fabrication business in 1990 in Zwolle. He later owned a chipping and fuel business and was able to design and manufacture his own Britt Logging Trailer. He retired in 2010 and then enjoyed his days sitting on the front porch overlooking the lake and taking care of his fur babies.
He is survived by his wife, Colleen Britt; son, Chris Britt; his beloved fur baby, Sassie; special cousin, Agnes Touchton Aaron; and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Riley Thomas Britt and Syble Colten Britt; and brother, Charles Lewis Britt.
The family received friends from 5 p.m., Friday, Aug. 19 until time of the funeral service at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 20. The visitation and funeral service were held at New Freedom Fellowship Church, 660 Hwy. 1215, Man. Officiating the service was John’s lifelong friend, Pastor Dean Holman, Pastor of New Freedom Church. Interment followed at Noble Cemetery in Noble.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. 4th St., DeQuincy.
