The DeQuincy Chamber of Commerce will sponsor a “Celebrate America” event at the Veterans Park on Friday, July 1, at 4 p.m.
The Chamber plans to honor all veterans living and deceased. Veterans or a family member are asked to call Lillian Karr at 337-540-4126 with the veteran’s name and branch of service.
The program will include patrotic music and a short summary of the Declaration of Independence.
A tent and chairs will be provided for your convenience

American Legion to Participate
American Legion Post 183 Commander Major Jerry Bell invites all our members to come out to the Veteran’s Park at 4 p.m. on Friday, July 1. All veterans will be honored.
DeQuincy is a veteran city, and we all need to show up at this ceremony.
