Cecil “Cebo” Perkins, a resident of DeQuincy was born Apr. 11, 1948 and passed away Sunday, May 8, 2022 at the age of 73.
He is survived by his daughters, Kary Lopez and husband, David, Kristy Junior, Kim Treme, Kitty Oliver and husband, Mike; 14 grandchildren, David Owen, Caisy, Daniel, Kaiza, Kevin, Brittnie, Kayla, Logan, Taylor, Sherry, Cody, Zeb, Maggie and Gabby, along with numerous great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brothers, Hamp Perkins, Fred Perkins and Shelton Perkins; sister, Janell Adams and husband, Jack, Eva Rose Sauvaunt and husband, Ray, and Joy Faye Ruef and husband, Bernard along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Curley and Helen Perkins; brothers, Willis Perkins, Hubert Perkins, Keith Allen Perkins, and Kenneth Dale Perkins; and sisters, Ethel Matthews and Carrie Lummus.
The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, May 10, and continued at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 11, until the funeral service at 10 a.m. The visitation and funeral will be held at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Interment will follow at Newlin Cemetery in Singer.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
