In March 2022, the DQPD Command Staff met and nominated Officer Dena Guidry to be the 1st Quarter 2022 Officer of the Quarter. Guidry is a supervisor in the DQPD Dispatchers’ section.
For several years, she has presented herself as an outstanding dispatcher and always conducts herself very professionally. She acts as an administrative assistant to Chief Casey Whitehead and does a tremendous amount of paperwork.
Officer Guidry manages the Police Association Fund and makes sure all monies are accounted for. Our DQPD officers state that they feel safe when she is the dispatcher on duty. A small gift is attached to this award and her name will be on a plaque located at the Police Dept. DeQuincy is blessed to have as one of their dispatchers a very qualified Officer Dena Guidry.
