DeQuincy vs. Rosepine

Rosepine 10, DeQuincy 0 – DeQuincy watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 10-0 loss to Rosepine on Thursday.

DeQuincy struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Rosepine, giving up ten runs.

Rosepine fired up the offense in the first inning, when Jake Smith hit a solo homer.

Drew Duhon took the loss for DeQuincy.

Reese Ashworth led DeQuincy with one hit in two at bats. DeQuincy was sure-handed in the field and didn’t commit a single error. Andrew Dowden had the most chances in the field with four.

DeQuincy vs. Vinton

DeQuincy 10 Vinton 0 – Reese Ashworth didn’t allow a single run against Vinton, throwing a complete game shutout and leading DeQuincy to a 10-0 victory on Tuesday.

DeQuincy notched five runs in the fifth inning. The offensive firepower by DeQuincy was led by Gavin Gary and Sammy Maddox, who both drove in runs.

Ashworth led DeQuincy to victory on the pitcher’s mound. The righthander surrendered zero runs giving up three hits over five innings, striking out nine and walking one.

DeQuincy tallied ten hits. Andrew Dowden and Gary each had two hits to lead DeQuincy at the plate.

DeQuincy vs. Lake Arthur

DeQuincy 13 Lake Arthur 3 – DeQuincy had all cylinders firing on offense on Monday, winning big over Lake Arthur 13-3.

DeQuincy notched four runs in the sixth inning. Dalton Davis, Jacob LeBlanc, and Matthew VanSlyke powered the big inning with RBIs.

Gavin Gary was the winning pitcher for DeQuincy. The pitcher allowed four hits and one run over four and a third innings, striking out seven. LeBlanc and Drew Duhon entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

DeQuincy had 11 hits in the game. Gary was 3 for 4 at the plate, Davis and Sammy Maddox each racked up two hits each for DeQuincy. Davis led DeQuincy with two stolen bases, as the Tigers ran wild on the base paths with five stolen bases.
