Joe Harmon and Friends to be at Railroad Fest

Joe Harmon and Friends will be performing on the Main Stage at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, Apr. 9, during this year’s Louisiana Railroad Festival Days.

Harmon was born in 1948 and reared in rural Louisiana, He hails from the small town of Oberlin in Allen Parish. He began singing in the church choir at the age of 10 and performed often in talent shows. He toured nationally with the New Generation Platters for many years.

The band is made up of local musicians, Rodney Mitchell, Rodney Mitchell, Jr., Troy Eddleman, Trish Eddleman, and Gloria Gibson. They play a little something for everyone to include Motown and Rhthym and Blues.
