Funeral services for Reverend Harold David Braneff were conducted at 6 p.m., Sunday, Mar. 20, at First Pentecostal Church in Jackson, Miss. Visitation was held Sunday, Mar. 20, from 4 until 6 p.m., at First Pentecostal Church in Jackson.

Louisiana Arrangements: Family and friends gathered at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Mar. 22, at the First Pentecostal Church in Starks. There was a procession to the Clark Cemetery with the graveside service commencing at 11 a.m.

Rev. Harold David Braneff, 86, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022, at St. Dominic’s Hospital in Jackson, MS.

Born Jan. 31, 1936, in Starks, Reverend Braneff was a licensed minister of the United Pentecostal Church International for over 65 years; pastoring churches in Louisiana, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Texas. He cherished his Apostolic heritage and his family.

Reverend Braneff was a loved and respected minister, gentleman, husband, and father.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Levi “Shorty” and Rev. Iris Buxton Braneff; and his beloved sister, Patsy Braneff Stanley.

Reverend Braneff is survived by his wife of 65 years, Florence Erleen Tumlinson Braneff, of Jackson, Miss,; his two daughters, Judye Carol Braneff and Rahdona Janet Braneff, both of Jackson, Miss.; two brothers, Hubert Braneff (Caroline) of Big Woods and Douglas Vannoy Braneff (Bridgette) of Bastrop, Texas. He was also PopPop to Tiffany Burks and Alaura Burks. Reverend Braneff’s memory will also be cherished by a host of nieces and nephews.
