El Tucan Mexican Restaurant has been named the 2022 Business of the Year by the DeQuincy Chamber of Commerce. They will be honored at the Chamber Banquet on Thursday, Mar. 10, at the T. D. Cardwell Center at First United Pentecostal Church.
El Tucan will celebrate their eighth anniversary in DeQuincy on Apr. 30. The owners are Humberto and Martha DeLeon, who have over 24 years experience in the restaurant business.
The pandemic had a lasting effect on all businesses in our area. The DeLeons overcame and adapted by creating a drive up window to keep serving their patrons.
The restaurant has a full menu of Mexican specialties, other favorites such as Hamburgers, Steak and Shrimp as well as a Kid’s Menu. Free ice cream is offered to all who dine in.
The large party room is available upon request for meetings, parties or any large gathering.
DeLeon said “myself, my wife, and my employees enjoy serving the citizens of DeQuincy and the surrounding cities. Thank you all for your support.”
The restaurant is open seven days a week at 1577 W. Fourth St.
