Kim Rainwater named City Planner

Kim Rainwater has been named City Planner for the City of DeQuincy.

Rainwater had this to say about her new position:

“Although I have very big shoes to fill, I truly believe God has opened this door for me and will help guide me through this journey. I am also thankful our recent planner Mary Jo Bayles will be close by to assist as she has and continues to do a wonderful job for our city.

“DeQuincy is my home. My husband, Nathan, and I have our business here, my family is here and our future is here. We are invested in this community. Our sons, Kyle and Kamron, serve on the fire department, our future daughter-in-law, Maci Armistead, has a business here and we all want to see DeQuincy grow and our citizens thrive!

“I look forward to working with Mayor Riley Smith and all city employees, to build our city back from the devastation we have experienced. I hope to also use my experience in real estate, business, construction and development to move our city forward.

“I welcome your ideas, thoughts and concerns and my door is always open. I look forward to serving the great people of DeQuincy!”
