?CITY OF DEQUINCY
ORDINANCE NO. 943
Upon motion by Ronda Jacobs and seconded by Mark Peloquin, the following ordinance was introduced in writing, read by title, and ordered published in summary or by title in the official journal within fifteen (15) days after introduction:
An Ordinance to repeal Section 6(a)(3) of Appendix A – General Zoning of the Code of Ordinances of the City of DeQuincy to regulate the placement of mobile homes within the city limits; and providing for other matters in connection therewith.
WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the City Council that the current state of the law regarding mobile homes in the city is creating confusion and uncertainty with the citizens regarding the procedures for placing a mobile home in the city and therefore, the ordinance affecting same is in need of revision and clarification.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of DeQuincy, State of Louisiana, acting as the governing authority of the City, that:
SECTION 6(a)(3) of Appendix A – General Zoning of the Code of Ordinances of the City of DeQuincy is hereby repealed in its entirety.
SECTION 6(A)(2) is hereby amended to read as follows:
Districts 1, 2, 3 and 4 will no longer have mobile homes permitted except in already established mobile home parks.
BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED by the City Council that should any section, clause, or provision of this ordinance be declared invalid by any court of competent jurisdiction, the same shall not affect the validity of the ordinance as a whole, or any part thereof, other than the part or parts declared to be invalid. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict with any of the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:

And the Ordinance was declared adopted this 18th day of January, 2022.
