David Mallory Rutledge was born Mar. 20, 1966 in Beaumont, Texas and passed away at his residence in Starks on Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2021 at the age of 55.
He is survived by his daughter, Reese Renee Rutledge; parents, Thomas Fred Rutledge and Beverly Joan Dykes Rutledge; brother, Thomas Oliver Rutledge; nephews, Austin Thomas Rutledge, Tyler Chase Rutledge, and Josh Alan Whipkey; niece, Blakeley Shea Comeaux; and his aunt, Verna Mae Smith.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Lois Rutledge; and maternal grandparents, Oliver and Anna Mae Dykes.
The family received friends, from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, and the funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18. The visitation and funeral were held at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Rev. Carlton Jackson, Jr. officiated and interment followed at Morse Cemetery, Buna Texas.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
