Geneva R. Powers, 93, of Ragley died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 2021.
She was born in Mire. She taught at Westwood and Western Heights Elementary schools until her retirement. She was a member of Gateway Church of God and was involved with the Meals on Wheels program.
She is survived by her sons, Mike Powers, Steve Powers and wife Donna both of Ragley, Mark Powers and wife Sandy of Pahoa, Hawaii, and Paul Powers and wife Pam of Lake Charles; brother, John Richard of Lake Charles; seven grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jack Augustus Powers; and two grandsons, Jerod Powers and Greg Powers.
Funeral service was held at Gateway Church of God on Sunday, Oct. 31, with Pastor Richard Rials officiating. Lamar Huffman assisted with the service. Burial was private.
