Prentiss Holden Braneff, a native and resident of Starks was born July 16, 1949 and passed away Tuesday, Sept. 21, 2021 at the age of 72.
He is survived by his children, Dawn Braneff of Morgan City, Nikki Johnson and Simon Mack Braneff of Starks. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Elizabeth Singleton, Shon Singleton, Megan Singleton, Tristan Singleton, Blake Singleton, Logan Lamey, Nick Braneff, Holten Braneff and Jaycee Braneff; great-grandchildren, Kezirian Singleton, Kenzily Singleton, Little Prentiss (Lucia) Singleton, Gracelyn Singleton, Braxton Singleton, Hollin Singleton, Kaedynce Singleton, Zaeydyn (Widget) Singleton and Russell Holden Singleton; along with one brother and one sister.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Annette Braneff; son, Shon Holden Braneff; parents, Simon Braneff and Christine Howard Braneff; brothers, Bear, Eugene and Ron; and sister, Margaret Ruth.
Cremation has been entrusted to Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
