Loved by her family and community, Glenda touched the hearts of everyone she met. Her heart for accepting people for who they were was a gift from the Lord. Having a Master of Education, she homeschooled her children for a total of 32 years. She was famous for her wonderful southern home cooking and peanut butter fudge at Christmas. Although she had many trials and tribulations, she never let them dim her will and spirit. She loved songs, including Amazing Grace, It Is Well With My Soul, and anything by Lauren Daigle or Selah. She was a wonderful wife and mother who had faith in the Gospel of Christ. She is deeply loved and she will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 43 years, John E. Jordan of Singer; three sons, Nathan Jordan and wife Tracy of Lake Charles, Richard Jordan of Sulphur, and Neal Jordan of Singer; three daughters, Nada Singer and husband Jason of Ragley, Rhonda Bardales and husband Orlen of DeRidder, and Joy Ramsey and husband Joshua of Longville; two brothers, Jim Downing and wife Elizabeth of Florence, S. C., and Jerry Downing of DeRidder; eight grandchildren, Samantha Jordan, Sean Jordan, Steven Jordan, Jacob Jordan, Sophia Jordan, Ely Bardales, Ezekiel Singer, and Zarina Singer; and a host of nieces and nephews.
