Lee Greaney

Lee Greaney, 73, of DeQuincy, died at his home on Wednesday, July 28, 2021.

He was a native of Great Britain and a longtime resident of Lake Charles. He was a veteran of the British Army and the Corps of Royal Engineers where he served as ordinance expert. He was educated as a draftsman at Cambridge University. Following his service in the British Services, he served the residents of Southwest Louisiana as a Deputy at the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office as crime scene specialist for 16 years prior to his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Laurence and Marjorie Broadly Greaney.

He is survived by his son, James Greaney, of Lake Charles and a sister, Nadine Laughlin, of England.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday Aug. 6, at Johnson Funeral Home of Moss Bluff, 2171 Hwy 171 North, Lake Charles, from 5 until 8 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday morning from 9 until the funeral service begins at 10 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens in Lake Charles.
