Winford Ray “PeeWee” “Birdeye” Stanley, 67, was born Nov. 25, 1953 and passed away Thursday, July 22, 2021 at his residence in DeQuincy, along with his mother-in-law, Mable Beaumont Frazier Moody.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Candace Frazier Stanley; daughters, Alisha Wylie and husband, Scott, Georgia Hydle and husband, Timmy; seven grandchildren, Shane, Dalton, Josie, C.J., Madison, Payton and Phoebe; five great-grandchildren, River, Wayne, John, Pedro and Mia. He is also survived by his siblings, Carol Buxton and husband, Prentice, Dean Stanley, Mark Stanley and wife, Linda and Kirby Stanley and wife, Aimee.
He was preceded in death by parents, Winford Stanley and Betty Jean Brown Stanley Ashworth; and his mother-in-law, Mable Beaumont Frazier Moody.
The family received friends Monday, July 26, from 4-7 p.m. at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Visitation resumed at 9 a.m., Tuesday, July 27, with a Celebration of Life service beginning at 10 a.m. Interment followed at Hyatt Cemetery in Fields.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
