Gary Anderson, 83, of Moss Bluff died Wednesday, June 16, 2021, at his residence.
He was born in Lake Charles where he resided all of his life and was a graduate of LaGrange High School. He worked and retired as a plumber and pipeline welder and belonged to the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 106 and the Pipeline Local 798. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Moss Bluff.
He is survived by his wife, Ivy Anderson of Moss Bluff; children, Brian Anderson (Sandy) of Longville, Mona Mouhot (Rick) of Moss Bluff, Billy Anderson of DeRidder, and Oren Anderson (Paula) of Moss Bluff; stepchildren, Ronnie Woodard (Sheree) of Crosby, Texas and Roy Woodard of St. Gabriel; nine grandchildren; six step grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Freda Anderson; parents, Edna and Quentin Anderson; one brother; and a stepson, Kelvin Woodard.
A funeral service was held Saturday, June 19, at the Johnson Funeral Home chapel in Moss Bluff. Rev. Jack Tillery officiated. Burial followed in Highland Memory Garden Cemetery.
