Barbara Ann Comeaux Hand, 79, of Carlyss died Friday, May 7, 2021 at her residence. She was a native of Jennings, living in the Sulphur area most of her life. She was a member of St. Theresa Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Hand of Carlyss; five daughters, Jessie Burnworth and husband Dewey of Sulphur, Rochelle Ericson of Westlake, Roxanne Machost and husband Dennis of Royse City, Texas, Karen Hand of Sulphur, and Jerry Dale Lefort and husband Dr. Troy Lefort of Lake Charles; three sons, Martin Hand and wife Karen of Carlyss, Billy Hand and wife Susan of Ragley, and Doug Ericson and wife Lesli of Lake Charles; two sisters, Tunie Credeur and Dale Richert; 24 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Damon Ericson; parents, Eldridge and Nanette Comeaux; three sisters; and two brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, May 10, at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Carlyss. Fr. Luke Krzanowski, MS officiated. Burial was in Mimosa Pines Cemetery in Carlyss under the direction of Johnson and Robison Funeral Home in Sulphur.
