Rev. Dr. D. L. Mackey, 81, died Saturday, Apr. 3, 2021.
He was born in Grant and later moved to DeRidder.
He is survived by his wife, Dr. Bernice Mackey; daughters, Minister Donna M. Mackey, Joy J. Mackey; one granddaughter; brothers, Elbert Mackey of Iowa, Robert Mackey of DeQuincy, Ivory Webster of Pasadena, Calif.; brother and best friend, George Gordon.
His funeral was held Saturday, Apr. 10, at Christian Baptist Church. Pastor Edward Alexander Jr. officiated. Burial was in Perkins Cemetery in Westlake under the direction of Stevens’ Funeral Home.
