Adah Doucet did the opposing team no favors on Friday, picking up four hits over four at bats and leading DeQuincy Lady Tigers Varsity to a 12-3 win over Starks. Doucet tripled in the first, singled in the first, singled in the third, and singled in the fifth.
DeQuincy Lady Tigers Varsity grabbed an early lead. DeQuincy Lady Tigers Varsity scored on a triple by Doucet, a single by Ashlyn Bullitt, a single by Bailey Mire, a single by Canyon Royer, a single by Doucet, and a single by Katie Willis in the first inning.
After Starks scored one run in the top of the fifth, DeQuincy Lady Tigers Varsity answered with one of their own.
Zoe Langley was the winning pitcher for DeQuincy Lady Tigers Varsity. Langley surrendered three runs on seven hits over seven innings, striking out three.
DeQuincy Lady Tigers Varsity racked up 12 hits on the day. Doucet, Royer, and Bullitt each racked up multiple hits for DeQuincy Lady Tigers Varsity. Doucet led DeQuincy Lady Tigers Varsity with four hits in four at bats. DeQuincy Lady Tigers Varsity tore up the base paths, as two players stole at least two bases. Willis led the way with three.
Lady Panther #5 went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Starks in hits.
