Joy Bess Hooper, 80, of Lake Charles, died on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021.
She is survived by her daughters, Melinda Eaves and husband Paul of Orange, Texas, and Melissa Louviere and husband Will of Ragley; sister, Charlotte Ball of Moss Bluff; 17 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Jerry Hooper; sons, Curtis Hooper, and Verbie Hooper; parents, Walter and Retha Mitchell of DeQuincy; two sisters; six brothers; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Saturday, Jan. 30. Troy LaFleur officiated. Interment followed at Old Ritchie Cemetery.
