Steven Russell Spears, Jr. was born July 30, 1999 and passed away at his residence in Singer on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021 at the age of 21.
He is survived by his mother, Tammy Williams LaPrairie and husband, Charles LaPrairie, Jr; father, Steven Russell, Sr.; siblings, Breanna Clark and husband, Brian, Samantha Spears and husband, Cody Edwards, Kameron Spears, Holly LaPrairie and husband, Christopher Mingo, and Brandy LaPrairie and husband, Kane Dauzat. He is also survived by his grandparents, Ivan “Butch” and Linda Williams, Thomas Spears, Louanna St. Romain and Charles LaPrairie, Sr.; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Phyllis Spears.
The family received friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 15, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. A graveside service was held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, at Newlin Cemetery in Singer.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
