Sherian Jones, 66, a resident of DeQuincy passed away Thursday, Jan. 7, 2021.
Sherian loved working in her yard and taking care of her flowers. She was a strong woman of faith and her greatest desire was to instill this faith and her love for Jesus in her family. While living in the Toledo Bend area, she was a faithful member of Pendleton Assembly of God Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her children, James Russell Hardin and wife, Robin, Larry Meredith and wife, Noelle, Rachel Barks and husband, Landon and Erica Thompson and husband Casey; eighteen grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Jimmy Darrell Presnull and wife, Sharon of Cleveland, Texas; sisters, Connie Thibodeaux and husband Russell of Wyoming and Mary Hightower and husband, Sammy of Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hollis Allen Jones; daughter, Angie Mitchell; and parents, Edward Leon Presnull and Rachel Ray Pratt.
The family received friends 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10 at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. The funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 11, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home. Interment followed at Campbell Cemetery in Moscow, Texas
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
