Regina Sue Taylor Fontenot, 53, was born Nov. 21, 1967 in Lake Charles and passed away Friday, Nov. 20, 2020 at her residence in Lumberton, Texas.
Regina was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as Mawmaw Gina. She always made people around her laugh and made friends everywhere she went. Her family and her animals meant the world to her.
She is survived by her children, Cody Fontenot and Ashley Fontenot; grandchildren, Mason Allen and Matthew Allen; sisters, Theresa Taylor, Angela Taylor and Melissa Waits; brother, Michael Taylor and wife, Jackie; and her best friend and father of her children, Ricky Fontenot.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gary and Carol Leach Taylor.
The family received friends from 11 a.m-1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, with the funeral service following at 1 p.m. at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Interment followed at Crown Point Cemetery in DeQuincy.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
