David Danielson

David Warren Danielson, of DeRidder was born Nov. 27, 1990 in Lake Charles. He passed away on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020, at the age of 29.

To say David’s life was an adventure is an understatement! David was turbo-charged from the time he was able to walk. He spent his younger years exploring the outdoors and taking advantage of having an identical twin brother, Dustin, who was his best friend and partner in
crime.

After graduating from Singer High School in 2008, David served as a Mortarman in the United States Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune, N. C. After his service with the military, David lived on the Kenai Peninsula in Alaska, various places in Colorado, and Detroit, Mich. He was a bit of a nomad, but David’s heart was in the mountains of Colorado, where he founded God Talks, a Stronger Chord, was involved with Worship Mob, and spent his free time diving in Alpine lakes, and longboarding in the back roads of the Rocky Mountains. His love for the mountains was strong, but it didn’t rival his love for his parents, brothers, two nieces, and four nephews.

David recently moved back to Southwest Louisiana to help family members recover from Hurricane Laura. David passed too soon, but his move back home was a fitting final chapter for his life; he wouldn’t hesitate for a second to help someone in need. David saw the potential and value in every person, had a huge heart and never met a stranger. He was fiercely loyal to his friends, family, and the causes important to him.

David is survived by his parents, Ron and Cristina Danielson, and Karlyn and Gerald Abdalla; his grandparents, Madelyn and Gordon Grady; his brother, Aaron (Lindsey) and his identical twin, Dustin (Jackie); his stepsiblings, Leslie (Josh), Megan (Timothy), Josh (Avery), and Katie (Barney); and a contingent of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his grandparents, Warren and Zella Danielson, and Carl Stanley.

Join us to celebrate David’s life on Friday, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m. at the Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy.

In honor of David, do something a little bit crazy and fun today, give a stranger a hug, or help someone in need. But whatever it is, David would want you to remember that God loves you and has a purpose for your life, so enjoy.

Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
