Billy Albert Browning, 82, of DeQuincy, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2020 at his residence. He was born on May 23, 1938 in Boone County, W. Va. to his late parents, Ossie and Ida Browning. He loved to gamble, drink his Coors Light, and watch the political arena. Most of all, he loved his family.
He is survived by his companion of 21 years, Gerlinde Schatzle; three daughters, Patricia Stump of Westlake, Theresa Helton of Fairborn, Ohio, and Benedikte Jorgensen of Denmark; along with brothers and sisters; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Billy was preceded in death by his wife, Jewell Browning; one son, Michael Browning; along with several brothers and sisters.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of LaSalette Catholic Church in DeQuincy on Friday, Oct. 30, at 2 p.m., with Father Louis Tigga officiating. Visitation will be at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy on Friday, beginning at 10 a.m. until the Rosary at 1 p.m., followed by the procession to the church for a 2 p.m. Mass.
