October 8, 2020
The City Council of the City of DeQuincy met in emergency session on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at 7:30 a.m. at their regular meeting place located at 300 North Holly Street, DeQuincy, Louisiana with the following members present: Ronda Jacobs, Denise Maddox and Mark Peloquin. Absent: Judy Landry, and Daisy Cole.
The meeting was called to order at 7:30 a.m. by Mark Peloquin and the roll was called with the above result.
There was no public input.
A motion was made by Denise Maddox and seconded by Ronda Jacobs to recall the emergency ordinance for Hurricane Laura as of October 4, 2020. Motion carried as follows: Yeas: Denise Maddox, Mark Peloquin, Ronda Jacobs. Nays: None. Absent: Judy Landry and Daisy Cole. Abstain: None.
A motion was made by Denise Maddox and seconded by Ronda Jacobs that we adopt an emergency ordinance declaring a public emergency authorizing the use of funds for the restoration of police and fire protection, gas production, wastewater collection and treatment and any other service or produce which has been limited as a result of Hurricane Delta and providing for effective date of ordinance. Motion carried as follows: Yeas: Denise Maddox, Mark Peloquin, Ronda Jacobs. Nays: None. Absent: Judy Landry and Daisy Cole. Abstain: None.
There being no further business to discuss, a motion was made by Denise Maddox and seconded Ronda Jacobs to adjourn the meeting.
