The City Council of the City of DeQuincy met in emergency session on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 8:30 a.m. at the DeQuincy Police Station, 101 S. Pine Street,
DeQuincy, Louisiana with the following members present: Ronda Jacobs, Denise Maddox and Mark Peloquin. Absent: Judy Landry, and Daisy Cole.
The meeting was called to order at 8:30 a.m. by Mark Peloquin and the roll was called with the above result.
There was no public input.
A motion was made by Denise Maddox and seconded by Ronda Jacobs to adopt an Emergency ordinance regarding the placement of mobile homes and travel trailers at
residences, within the city limits, that have been damaged due to Hurricane Laura. Motion carried as follows: Yeas: Denise Maddox, Ronda Jacobs and Mark Peloquin. Nays: None.
Absent: Judy Landry and Daisy Cole. Abstain: None.
A motion was made by Denise Maddox and seconded by Ronda Jacobs to adopt a resolution authorizing Mayor Smith to enter into an Agreement with Tetra Tech, a debris monitoring service for emergency data collection for the City of DeQuincy. Motion carried as follows: Yeas: Denise Maddox, Ronda Jacobs and Mark Peloquin. Nays: None. Absent: Judy Landry and Daisy Cole. Abstain: None.
There being no further business to discuss, a motion was made by Denise Maddox and seconded Ronda Jacobs to adjourn the meeting.
