Jerry Keith Johnson, 64, of Merryville died Friday, Feb. 28, 2020 after a battle with cancer.
He joined the Louisiana National Guard after high school, where he served four years. He then worked most of his life for Santa Fe Railroad.
Survivors include his sons, Brandon Johnson of Oakdale, and Webb Johnson of Evadale, Texas; daughters, Brandy Johnson Higginbotham of Pine Prairie, Denay Johnson of Oakdale, Jena Johnson Borho of Leander, Texas, Amanda Johnson of Mansfield, Texas; mother, Darlene Johnson of Merryville; brothers, Kevin Johnson and Kristy of Jasper, Texas, Kyle Johnson of Lumberton, Texas; sisters, Patti Bearden of Merryville, Kathy Johnson of Moss Bluff, Cheryl Cavazos of Forth Worth, Texas; and ten grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene (Gene) Basil Johnson.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Mar. 3, at Myers Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Burial followed at Meadows Cemetery in Merryville.
