DEQUINCY, LOUISIANA.
The Board of Commissioners of the Housing Authority of the City of DeQuincy, La. met in regular session on December 10, 2019 for the following purpose:
Chairman Jerry McCaig called the meeting to order and upon roll call, those present and absent were as follows:
Present: Jerry McCaig, Lynne Treme, Ira Royer, Darlene Hooker, Carmen Iley, Shirley Bagwell and Brenda Vige Absent: None
A quorum present, the following business was transacted. The minutes from October 8, 2019 were reviewed. Lynne Treme made a motion to approve the minutes and Ira Royer seconded. Motion carried.
Darlene Hooker was appointed as Commissioner for a five-year term by Mayor Riley Smith at the DeQuincy Council meeting on December 9, 2019. She was welcomed by all.
The financial reports for FYE September 2019 and October 2019 were reviewed. The year to date actuals were compared to the year to date budget. Lynne Treme made a motion to accept the financial reports as presented and Carmen Iley seconded the motion. Motion carried.
The completed LA Compliance Questionnaire was presented and discussed. Lynne Treme made a motion to accept the completed Questionnaire as presented and Ira Royer seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Office holiday closures for Dec. 24, 25, 26, 31 and Jan. 1 were discussed. Lynne Treme made a motion to approve the office closures for the dates presented and Carmen Iley seconded. Motion carried.
Election of officers for 2020: Jerry McCaig as chairman, Lynne Treme as Vice Chairman, Darlene Hooker as Chaplain.
The vacancy report was presented by Brenda Vige.
There being no further business to come before the board, the Chairman thereupon declared meeting adjourned.
