The DeQuincy Chamber of Commerce’s Annual Christmas Parade will be held Saturday, Dec. 7.
Lineup will be a 9 a.m. with the parade rolling at 10 a.m.
The lineup this year will be at a new location. Lineup will not be at Nichols parking lot due to increased parking issues.
The following is the parade lineup location, route and instructions as told by DeQuincy Police Chief Casey Whitehead:
Lineup will begin at the corner of 3rd and Oak St. Cones will be set up and DeQuincy Police officers will be on hand to aid in lineup. Parade participants will turn onto Oak St. for the parade to begin on Fourth St.
The parade will follow the traditional route downtown then turn right onto Hwy. 389 to pass by The Care Center of DeQuincy for residents to enjoy the festivities. Participants will then turn on to Canterberry St. with final destination being the DeQuincy Railroad Museum.
Many activities are planned after the parade on the Museum Grounds.
