Merryville High School will be celebrating its 100th Anniversary and Grand Reunion on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 18-19.
Many events and activities have been planned. The schedule is as follows:
Friday, Oct. 18
From 11 a.m.-1 p.m., the museum will host author Cathy Cagle Post, who will autograph copies of her fresh-off-the-press book Red Cagle: West Point’s Three Time All-American. Parade Lineup will be in front of the nursing home on Bryan St. at 1 p.m.
The Homecoming Parade will be held Friday, Oct. 18, at 2 p.m.
The coronation of Merryville High School Homecoming Queen at Keener Cagle Stadium is scheduled at 6 p.m. The game, Merryville vs Gueydan, starts at 7 p.m.
Saturday, Oct. 19
Activities will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 19. Meet and Greet area will be in the old gym. Activities will include book signing, video presentation, silent auction, self-guided tours of the school and, of course, great fellowship.
