David Mitchell Dockens, Sr. of Singer was born in St Martinville on July 20, 1959 and passed away Monday, Oct. 14, 2019 at the age of 60.
He is survived by his wife, Leesa Dockens; children, David M. Dockens, Jr., Susan Dockens, Joey Clark, David Miller, Melica Richardson, Jeremey Todd Miller, Bridgett Boothe; along with eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Paul and Elise Dockens.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct.16 at Riley Smith Funeral Home in DeQuincy and the funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 17, at the funeral home with Rev. Carlton “Carlie” Jackson, Jr. and Rev. Dustyn Rose officiating.
Arrangements are being handled by Riley Smith Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
