The 10th and final Harry L. Hooker, Sr. Memorial Holy Smoke BBQ Cook-Off and Praise Festival will be held on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Railroad Museum Grounds.
There will be a special category this year: Champion of Champions. This is open to all previous BBQ first place winners.
The festival was started in 2010 as a means to raise funds for a scholarship to DeQuincy High graduates attending a university or technical school.
It also provides funds for the Back to School Giveaway, Illuminate Program at the High School, and other community projects.
