Geymann to run for Senate

Brett Geymann, former State Representative, has announced that he is running for Senate District 30.

Senate District 30, currently held by John Smith who is term limited, will be an open seat and includes all of Vernon and Beauregard Parishes and a large portion of Calcasieu.

Geymann served 12 years in the Louisiana House of Representatives from 2003-2015. He served on the House Appropriations Committee, among other committees, and was appointed to the Streamline Commission in 2010.

He is a small business owner and graduate of McNeese State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. He has been married to Kimberly for 33 years and has three children: Tyler, a small business owner; Nick, a financial advisor; and Katy, an educator in Beauregard Parish. He also has a two-year-old grandson, Sage.
