Steven Wade Franklin, 48, of Westlake died Friday, Dec. 28, 2018.
He was born in Lafayette. He worked for the City of Sulphur for over 20 years and was a Volunteer Fireman for Ward 1 for seven years.
Survivors include his daughter, Tessa Franklin of Westlake; a granddaughter; brother, Preston Franklin of DeQuincy; a sister, Mary Franklin Wilks of Westlake.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Butch and Doris Franklin, and a brother.
Steven’s decision to be an organ donor was the last selfless and heroic gift he gave.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, Jan. 2, at Hixson Funeral Chapel in Westlake.
