Jewell Clark Dore, 93, of Sulphur Monday, Dec. 31, 2018, in a local care facility.
She was born in Crowley and moved to Lake Charles, where she graduated from Marion High School. She later moved to Opelousas and Gonzales where she worked for Sears.
In 1976 she moved to Sulphur and became an Avon sales representative. She was a member of Maplewood United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir and was active with the WMU.
She is survived by her children, Brenda C. Brinkman and husband Gary of Raymond, Miss., Wayne M. Dore and wife Dena of Lake Charles, and Virgil Wade Dore and wife Sandy of Longville; 11 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, James R. Clark III; second husband, Virgil Wallace Dore; sons, James R. Clark III and Joseph L. Clark; parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Foreman Morgan; two sisters; and two infant brothers.
Her funeral service was held Friday, Jan. 4, at the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Andy Goff officiated. Burial followed in Prien Memorial Park Cemetery.
