Myrtle Margaret Gore, 77, a resident of Starks passed away at her residence on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2019.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Edward Mathew Gore, Sr.; children, Addie Mae Greenfield of Orange, Texas, Theresa Ann Cole and husband, John Michael of Starks, Edward Mathew Gore, Jr. of Forest Heights, Texas, and Michael Lewis Gore of Starks; along with 16 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Burton J. Dill, Jr. of Sulphur; and her sister, Bernice Perkins
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Molly Sue Stains; her parents, Burton J. Dill and Lena Perkins Dill; and two granddaughters, Nicole Renee Stains and Ashley Greenfield.
The family received friends on Friday, Jan. 4, from 5-8 p.m. at Riley Smith Funeral Home in DeQuincy,. The funeral service was held at the funeral home on Saturday, Jan. 5, beginning at 10 a.m. with Rev. Karl Smith officiating. Interment followed at Doyle Cemetery in Starks.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
