Percy Hodges

Percy Lee Hodges was born Feb. 11, 1925, and passed away Saturday, Nov. 12, 2022, at the age of 97. He served in the United States Navy. Percy is a World War II Veteran and earned a Purple Heart. He was also a rural letter carrier for 30 years in Ragley.

He is survived by his wife of 76 years, Wilma Jackson Hodges; daughters, Tana Joy Hodges Pearson, Paulette Hodges Ardoin, and Terri Lee Hodges Johnson; grandchildren, Ben Pearson and wife, Angela, Jake Pearson and wife, Samantha, and Cy Ardoin; and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, B. H. Hodges and Ethel Wilcox Hodges; granddaughter, Hevyn Lee Johnson Allen; and siblings, J. L. Hodges and Mae Dell Hodges.

The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. with the funeral service to follow at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the First Pentecostal Church in Ragley. Interment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Ragley.

Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. 4th Street, DeQuincy.
