Last Friday, the DeQuincy Tigers hosted the Welsh Greyhounds in non-District play.

Welsh scored first, but it wasn’t long before the Tigers answered back as running back Kaven Morrow scored on a 12 yard run followed by Christofer Contreras kicking the extra point, however, that would be the only score of the night for DeQuincy as the Welsh defense kept the Tigers offense at bay.

Despite the loss, the Tigers played very hard and did not give up.

The Tigers well now begin preparation for district 5-2A action beginning this Thursday on the road at East Beauregard where they‘ll play against a scrappy Trojans squad who are known for their Iron Man type offense as someone would call it 3 yards and a cloud of dust.

DeQuincy has played some tough non-district opponents thus for and so they should be more than prepared to begin district play.
