John Valsin Breaux, III, 60, a resident of Vinton, died Saturday, May 16, 2026, while shrimping in the Gulf of America.
Known as “Jay” or “Big John” by many, was an Ironworker for the majority of his adult life.
He is survived by his son, John Valsin Breaux, IV and wife Heather; father, John Valsin Breaux, Jr.; one grandson, Aiden Breaux; and two brothers, Tim Breaux and Jeff Breaux.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Joalan Bartleson Breaux; and mother, Donna Lee Bean Breaux.
In accordance with his wishes, he was cremated and laid to rest with his wife in Idaho.
