Madeleine “Madge” Thibodeaux was born Dec. 22, 1948, and passed away Wednesday, Apr. 15, 2026, at the age of 77.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Brian Thibodeaux; son, Michael Thibodeaux and wife Stella; grandchildren, Chelsea Saltzman and husband Justin, Christian Thibodeaux, Morgan Ingram, Lindsay Hubert, and Seth Thibodeaux; 10 great grandchildren; sisters, Cathy Hutchinson, Sham Manuel, Mary Beth Shoemake, and Cindy Landry; along with numerous nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Christy Thibodeaux; parents, Elridge and Hester O’Quain; and brother, Bryant O’Quain.
The family received friends from 2 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 3 p.m., Friday, Apr. 17, at Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home in DeQuincy. Bro. Mike Streams officiated. Interment followed at Big Woods Cemetery in Vinton.
Arrangements were handled by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
