John Rutherford Sr. was born Feb. 1, 1942, and passed away Friday, Feb. 27, 2026, at the age of 84.
He is survived by his children, Jill Davis, Jane Zimmerman, and Jeffrey Rutherford and wife Angela; grandchildren, Jasmine, Pablo, Rikki, Samantha, Dakoda, and Bradyn; one great-grandchild; siblings, Paul Rutherford, Mary Brown, Jim Rutherford, Naomi Criswell, Thomas Rutherford, and Ruth Nauman; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his children, Joni Lyne Rutherford, and John Rutherford Jr.; wife Linda Karsten-Rutherford; and parents, Harvey and Zelpha Rutherford.
Cremation was entrusted to by Riley Smith & Sons Funeral Home, 1810 W. Fourth St., DeQuincy.
