Olga Lee Parker, 85, of Singer, passed away on Sunday, June 1, 2025 in Lafayette. She was born to her late parents, Simion and Maud Wells on Apr. 15, 1940 in Voth, Texas. She enjoyed traveling, puzzle books, and spending time in the mountains and the beach. Most of all, Olga Lee loved spending time with her family, who she loved very much.
She is survived by her two sons, Billy Parker (Lois Wright) of Singer, and Jackie Parker of Moss Bluff; five grandchildren, Julia Shaheen (Hank) of DeQuincy, Bryce Parker of Singer, Sarah Parker of Moss Bluff, Zachary Parker (Misty) of Moss Bluff, and Kayla Parker of Lafayette; along with eight great-grandchildren, Chelsey Shaheen, Bear Shaheen, Stephen Newitt, Carmen Newitt, Nathaniel Dowell, Jakob Drayton, Lisette Drayton, Logan Parker, Xander Parker, Thomas Parker, Aria Strother, and Haley Strother; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Olga was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Ray Parker; one son, Kenneth “Hicky” Parker; along with her siblings, Glenda Yellott, Wade Crawford, Iona Wells, and Barry Crawford.
A Celebration of Olga’s life will be held at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home in DeQuincy on Thursday, June 5, at 2 p.m. Visitation will be at Hixson-Snider Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 4, from 5 until 8 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home on Thursday from 12 p.m. until the time of the service.
